Hi,

Has anyone else linked their iPod / iPhone to the Aston and tried to use the Spotify App?

I am finding that I launch the Spotify app, play a song, and get a second or two played before the car seems to play whatever is in the iPod playlist regardless.

I can shuffle / change track / fast forward - Spotify kicks in for a second, but then back to the iPod track.

So far the only way to play Spotify is via the 3.5mm jack rather than the iPod connector.

FWIW - I am using the B&O system.

Any thoughts?

It is my understanding that when the iPod is connected to the car it basically becomes a media storage device so what is happening is that the car reconnects it's software that gives it control over the media but in doing so will switch it back into USB iPod "mode".

Maybe someone else will be along to say otherwise but I'm not immediately sure of a way to do it.

Ha, strange. I'll be faffing around trying to do that this morning. After a lot of searching on the web it seems that a solution is to make sure that there are no iPod tracks stored on the iPod.

Nope. Doesn't work. Plays for 2 secs then makes a beep sound and then silence. I was using an iPhone 4 and the phone kept throwing "This device is not optimized for operation" and then "Charging is not supported on this device". Poo frown
