I haven't but other half did today. Gutted, but in fairness the width restriction on a bridge somewhere in the Henley region was a joke. So I am not being too hard on him as I wouldn't even have attempted it.

Anyhow too late now but after a previous not good experience with my main dealer I am hoping to find someone who has had these specific wheels re- ferbed perfectly.

I have not done this. However, Lepsons in Gillingham, Kent will bring back to good as new.

Hi Stewart

Not seen you here for ages, hope all ok. I will ring Lepsons tomorrow and see what they say.

Hi Di,
I curbed the front nearside on my V12V last summer, on my way to getting the car detailed by Paul at Miracle Detail at Dunsfold. I was gutted until I got to Paul's place, and he told me as a part of the clean up, he'd get the wheel sent off and done at Lepsons. I think it cost 75 quid, and when I got it back it was as new...just amazing!! I could not see any trace of the mark whatsoever!!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it's of to Lepsons we'll go. (bad pun intended)
It'd be great to see a pic of the damaged wheel and then one of the repaired wheel.
I know that sickening feeling, I've had 3 wheel repairs in the last 6 months, 2 x wife, 1 x mine.
I may have to invest in those springy metal things that cars had back in the 70's that stuck out near the wheels on the gutter side. Remember them?

I've had a few wheels done at Lepsons (Gillingham) too. 2 on a Porsche and 2 on my AMV8 Vantage. They do really good work - not the cheapest though. Last time my Aston was done (around a year ago) it was (about) £95 + £10 if they need to replace the pressure sensor. Its cheaper if you take the wheel off and leave it (rather than the car) with them.

What are the practical implications of dealing with Lepsons?. Do you send the wheel to Kent or leave the car there - how does it work?

Due to not wanting a 3 wheeled car at home I am booked into Lepsons for the 23rd and collecting 3 days later. They assure me it will be in a secured area. I will let you know how I get on.

Either - whatever suits you best. smile

I was quite happy leaving my car there - they do have a secure (indoor) storage area.

I feel for you.....Kerbing a wheel is just the worst thing.

On many occasion I've almost hit a car coming the other way rather than risk kerbage. Just ridiculous...just instinct.

As stated Lepsons will sort it....did my GTR wheels twice because the first time there was an issue....absolutely no quibble
