First off, sorry about your husband.
Secondly £21k sounds very cheap, in fact, that would be the cheapest one on sale in the UK.
Whereabouts are you?
You have a few options, you could sell it privately or to a trader, someone like McGurk or might be worth a call, avoid the likes of we buy any car.

What sort of mileage does the car have?

Thanks, yes 21,000 miles. It’s in really great condition but I think though it’s probably due a next service - not on mileage but time. It looks brand new - with its private number plate people think it’s a couple of years old.
We’re would I advertise- on this site or do you guys suggest anywhere particular?

Aside from selling it to one of the specialist AM resellers such as McGurks, if you want to sell it privately then Pistonheads Classifieds, eBay, Auto trader, Car Guru's, Motors, Parkers.
I'm sure there will be a few more or you could try WeBuyAnyCar and others like them but you may be surprised at the low bids perhaps.

Without wishing to sound patronising, it sounds like you're not an Aston enthusiast and as such, you run the risk of being ripped off if you're unfortunate enough to come across an unscrupulous buyer.
A red 4.3 V8V is a rare thing, so it should command a premium. However, there are many other factors that will dictate the price, such as the interior colour, the spec of the car (eg manual gearbox or Sportshift, standard or premium audio, heated screen, powerfold mirrors, etc). However, it is the car's condition and history that will have the greatest influence. Even a car with only 21k miles could have serious issues, especially if it hasn't been used for quite a while.
I genuinely recommend that you seek assistance with the sale. There are a few highly reputable dealers around (McGurk already mentioned) who would guide you and possibly even sell for you on a commission basis.
If you let us know whereaboust in the country you are, we can recommend a nearby(ish) specialist, or you may find there are local owners that would be willing to help you out.
Regardless - sorry to hear about your husband and good luck with the sale.

Start by putting the details in to Webuyanycar and Motorway. It will give you an idea of its trade value. Be aware there are some scams operated by people buying cars from private sellers.
Talk to Aston in Wilmslow.
Agree with this.Talk to Aston in Wilmslow.
Had some success with Carwow recently. Albeit a BMW X5, the Carwow valuation was nearly a grand above Webuyanycar and at the auction it went for £1500 above that. V straightforward, no tyre-kickers coming to the door and no hidden fees.
So nice to see a non-monochrome colour….
Keep us posted on what you’re offered - we’ll let you know if it sounds about right. It’s also worth letting us know what problems / issues the dealer finds (there are bound to be some…). Some issues can be sorted quite cheaply and don’t need main-dealer prices to sort them.
From the one picture, and no info on history, I’ll have a wild stab at £35k. If it has good history and few / no issues, it could retail for three of four grand more. Personally, I don’t think it will retail at £40k, as there are 4.7s for less (admittedly all monochrome and with more miles…)

By all means check "We Buy Any Car", but my experience has been that they will seriously undervalue it. My 2006 AM V8 cost me £38,500 from McGurks a year ago and WBAC values it at £21,750 - and that's before they see it.
Inevitably they find things to reduce the value further. I think Chilton is a good idea, or try McGurks. The recession has hit Aston prices hard at the moment, but it looks like a nice one so hold out for the best price.
You can always send some images and the history to Matt at McGurks to get a second opinion.

Thanks for all your advice, we decided to try the new Pistonheads auction to advertise it. Its very strange now its been taken away but I think theres a high chance its going to go to a great owner who will adore it.
I'll pop the link here if you want a nose. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/auction/15454333
Thank you again!
