Never go back?

Just wondering about "going back" to the same make/model that you've had before. Seen a nice looking (relative terms obviously!) Ignis Sport which fit the bill for a faster but still newish / reliable little run around. Thing is I've had one before - and there are so many other cars to cross off the list!

Has anyone else "gone back" and either regretted the decision or still appreciated a previously driven make/model?

Life is short, and there are dozens of cars out there that I want to own before I die.. But this is just me. I have a friend who is on his 4th or 5th version of the same model, (Colt) good thing about it is that he knows them inside and out now, so did his own engine swap.
