Evo for a year?

My MOT is due in Sep-ish and I'm thinking about garaging my current car for a year (won't sell I love it too much) and running an Evo IV for a year.

I figured that it's a "now or never" car as fuel prices will soon mean I'll never afford one.

I'm looking at the bottom end of the price scale for these and I'm wondering what I should look for aswell as a FSH?

Any advice on these cars, what to look for etc would be nice

say ~£5k for a decent IV... plus depending on mileage then budget say £5k for running costs for average mileage, insurance, consumables, servicing, fuel ....

oh and if you can get a IV with a later engine fitted or a V onwards so you won't have any problems with crankwalk
