Hi,
Will be looking to buy a car next year when I return from China, previous cars include S2000, M3 & Maserati 4200. Been considering many options eg Ferrari (456, 355, 360), Nissan GTR, 911 & another M3, however the evo on paper seems to give me a few things in a car I have not had before e.g. semi-auto box, 4 wheel drive, turbo engine and also seems a good bet as a daily driver. Thinking of the 330SST, I've read many posts but there doesn't seem to be any real relability issues. Is this true & is there anything I should look out for(most likely will buy new)?
thanks
Ian

I've been playing with the idea of a Evo as well but have been thinking of the 360!

I'm not convinced on it, they do look good and go like stink but the question I always ask myself is are they special enough and the answer I always get is no. I genuinely think I would get bored of it very quickly.

I've never owned one so can't speak from experience but I've read the SST box has had problems and is jerky and slow.

The other cars you have spoken about are all very different, ok Fezza's probably aren't the best everyday car but a 911 or GTR would be and if it was my money, i'd consider one of them first.

I have a 330 sst and it's been 100% excellent. Very refined but can be a bit mental when you want it to be. Gearbox is spot on.

Go for a decent test drive.

Better luck in finding one in the spec you want, I searched for 8 months with no luck .

Ended up with an S3 instead.

Thanks guys, I think I have done the 'special enough' with the Maserati so looking for a type of drive I've not had before, & the evo fits the bill. Will be back in the UK in Feb so will test drive a few options then. In term sof dealers the closest ones seem to be in Crewe, Warrington and Sandycroft.......anyone recommend any of these?
cheers
Ian
