Time to change my mkV r32 and I've seen a few of these on autotrader with <1k miles for around £25-26k (new price is £33k)

What are they like to live with?

Any personal experiences of ownership?

Cheers

Never been in one but the newer hatchbacks are great fun to drive, I think they are better than the older saloons.

I am prepared to be hung drawn and quartered for that one.

Thanks, the ones I've been looking at all either pre-reg, management cars or ex-demo's. I'm going to test drive one next week, just looking for any opinions/thoughts from owners.

Cheers

Try Scoobynet. Its a shadow of its former self, but there are still plenty of new car owners using it.

I own a (JDM) STI SPEC C 2.0l hatch back 2011/11, must say it's a great car and very practical. They are a lot more refined than previous generations and the handling is surprisingly better considering the extra weight, but i put that down to the wider track.
The only thing you need to watch out with the UK cars is the engine failure due to ring land issues. however I've not heard of it on the saloon yet.

My car biggrin

Thanks.

Hopefully any engine isues (I realise they are well documented) would be well covered by the warranty. I'll probably keep the car for around 2 years so it'll always be under man warranty.

Nice car by the way smile

Here's the one I'm going to see tonight:

It looks mint!

Yeh you'll be ok as long as you've got a warranty smile

I drove one of the first ones in the country and they are fantastic. Even better than my old Hawkeye STI but they appear to suffer from the same problems as the hatch had so I would wait for the new engines later in the year.

Mine is Great the suspension is much better than the soft Hatch (as standard) but maybe be a bit firm for some biggrin

Mine is the 320R version that came with a free remap to 320bhp wink certainly quicker than a Hawk 2.5PPP but comparitly slow to my 2.0JDM Hawkeye biggrin

Early days on engine but most rumours reckon they have different pistons and certainly a much better ECU Map wink
