More specifically, the WRX (not the STi).

It seems to have the 2.5 which seems brisk enough. I only say not the STi because of the price, i've found a Silver and a white WRX at a Subaru dealer for 9 grand at 3 years old both with about 50k miles.

I've always been the biggest fan of exec barges, 3 series, Mondeo, Vectra, A4 etc, and never a fan of hot hatches.

Are these any good and nice to drive? The only thing that puts me off the most, is the poor quality interior. Shame the 4-door is only avaliable at STi spec at £20k upwards frown

Im assuming being a Subaru, these things are pretty bulletproof?

Personally I love the last of the 2litres. It's a more fun engine and has a great reputation. Add the prodrive pack to the WRX and it's a seriously quick car for the money. If you are going to do it, grab a 2005 car and have some fun. You'll save a chunk of change also.

With the amount of car you can get for your money now I'd look at late 2006/2007 Hawkeye STi variations. Some epic cars for 10-12k. Some with really low mileage (sub 20k cars easy to find)

Drove the hatchback the other week (STi and the 330) and it felt like a MK5 Golf with a scoob engine. Not a bad thing at all....but has not got that 'feel' of the saloons with a good wing wink
