Subaru specialist insurers

http://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/ Call them and ask for Gary Moulson 0800 542 2141. He is a nightmare to get hold of but will normally sort you out with the cheapest quote.
These guys were also competitive as well http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/imported-car-insuran...

Without a doubt http://www.greenlightinsurance.co.uk/ been with them and I've unfurtunately been through fault and none faults and they have been spot on.
None of the other specialists could get anywhere near them for prices or policy.

I ended up insuring mine with Adrian Flux. All modifications covered. You'll have to get a quote over the phone rather than online to get anything like a decent price though.
Tried Keith Michaels but could never get hold of Gary Moulson. A-Plan were pretty much as competitive as Adrian Flux, but ended up going with the latter as they just seemed more helpful and keen to win my business at the time I got in contact.

This is by far and away the truest thing anyone can ever say about Scooby insurance.Came back to me 2 weeks after my actual renewal and beat A-plan by a little bit. It was too late by then, but if you can get him to answer/call back then he will do a good quote.
ETA, actually there is a cheaper way to insure your scooby, but it involves really limiting the mileage you do.

Has anyone ever got hold of Keith Michaels? I could never ever get through or emailing or online. So I went somewhere else. PPP really.
I haven't ever managed to get hold of Gary either, despite leaving several pm's on scoobynet and voicemails on his phone.I dealt with his colleague Patrick last year who beat my renewal with direct line by quite a margin, I'm not sure if Gary would have been able to beat that? I assume they go to the same company's for their quotes.
A plan came out cheapest for me this year. Chris Classey at their Thatcham office is the man to speak to there.

I think Chris has moved on now, but Claire in the same branch is worth speaking too. Although Keith Michaels beat A Plan and my Greenlight renewal this year.I've given up on Gary as he is more difficult to get hold of than Bin Laden!! Doesn't return emails or voicemails, his phone is constantly engaged and none of his colleagues will deal with his quotes.
The last time i rang them and spoke to someone else they said they only deal with their own customers (not the first time i've been told that), and when i asked if they could pass him a message for me i was put through to his voicemail. This went on for the best part of two weeks so i gave up in the end.
My scoob is insured elsewhere now and and when the Jag insurance runs out i won't be spending days or weeks trying to get hold of Gary again. I tried insuring my Toyota Surf with him earlier on this year....same story there!! That's a single customer with 3 vehicles he's about to lose.
The man is clearly overworked and could do with an assistant but that doesn't help me or anyone else insure their motors. It's a shame because he is a really nice chap and i like dealing with him when i actually get to talk to him....on the rare occasion.

Do your IAM, I get my insurance through them and they HAVE to beat your best quote. Just insured the RB5 for £430. Adrian Flux are rubbish, they just said everyone is struggling to insure Imprezas - well sorry - someone must be because you still see enough on the roads. Have been with A-Plan before, and they were good. Shopping around is a must.
My renewal came through at just below £500, I shopped aroud and got a lower quote, then they beat it by a few more quid. Bit cheeky really, if they can insure me for £430 why quote me at £500 to start with. Worked out in the end though, they just assume people don't shop around.
