I bought an overheating car and the wife laughed... (I have the last laugh as "we" wanted a sensible family reliable and economical car, so I went out and came back with a 2 door 20 year old jap convertible! haha)

It is a 1991 J reg celica 5 gen? convertible. Bodywork is 100% mint. ALL electrics work, bar AC needs gassing, MOT'd 3 weeks ago, came with a brand new water pump, haynes manual and a workshop CD. It also has a rather nice double din head unit, which has TV, DVD, SD card slot, sat nav, full bluetooth carkit, and a remote control with more buttons than the living room TV remote!

Which model do I have? I know its a 2.0 auto with 4ws, 1991 J plate. It is a 3S-JE engine it that makes a difference? Is a GT 4ws? I really don't know?

1 Should it have a remote fob? I have two keys one with a plastic/rubber grip, other all steel.
2 Should it have a factory alarm? It does have a red light thingy to the right of the steering wheel.
3 What is the little red button to the left of the auto box gear stick do?

Is this a joke?

Gimme half an hour to read the post, then I will decide hehe

ETA - Unless someone replies with "its XYZ, and it costs little to fix" I would get shot of it - only because I would always be waiting for it to fail again.

You have an ST-182 JDM. If it has BIG fog lights in the front bumper and does not say "Celica" in the red trim around the rear number plate you have the facelift model.

1: no
2: no
3: The button sounds ilke the manual/power button, is it red? in "power" mode it moves the gearshift points closer to the readline.
