Hi there,

Bitting point on my clutch is now ridiculously high. It's 44K, 350bhp for the last 10K and still on the original. It's not slipping, but it's a horrible drive now... Any recommendations as to a suitable replacement... The guy at Extreme Scoobies suggested an AP?

Thanks and happy Xmas smile

AP organic is a popular fitment.

Used one for 45K @ 360ish bhp with little wear.

If you're not going to be doing full bore starts or regular runs at Santa Pod or tracks regularly then an upgraded AP clutch is good.

If you're going to work your clutch hard regularly then there's no substitute for a decent twin plate clutch. Not cheap but fairly bullet proof, rather like your STi gearbox.

I've driven a handful of cars over the last few years with twin plates, and with the exception of one car which had a very hard and snatchy clutch coupled with a very light flywheel (was easy to stall), the rest felt little different to drive than cars with single plates.

Like anything else it's generally about the quality of the product and the fitting of.
