Mr2 mk2 3sge gearbox change questions
Discussion
Hey guys, decided id change the clutch and gearbox at same time.
Removed inlet gear and what not, removed 2 14mm bolts from starter motor, quite a squeeze but theyre out, however, i cannot get the starter motor off. I've gave it a few good taps with a plastic hammer and its just not budging, i don't wish to drain my coolant system so the big coolant pipe is in the way.
Any advice or a decent guide to get me through this obviously big task
Thanks.

Imoc registration has been a pain for me, cant register as ive already got an account, tried to access my account to find its needs to be activated. Try to find forum contacts, cant do it unless registered. Thought i'd try on here as they might be a pain to fix but theyre still a popular car.

Have a look at this. Specifically steps 14 and 16. I understand that yours is a different situation but it may just be that the motor requires a little more 'encouragement' to detach than you are currently giving it.Removed inlet gear and what not, removed 2 14mm bolts from starter motor, quite a squeeze but theyre out, however, i cannot get the starter motor off. Cooper slip on the neck that sits inside the gearbox hole where it touches. Not too much, don't want it on ur nice new clutch.
Sand where the bolts go through the starter ligaments on the face that touches the gearbox. Seen many not ground properly after re-assembly.
