Short story really. There was a very fine oil leak on my MR2 '93 plate rev 2. Nothing major. Took it in for a new clutch about a week ago and have noticed that it is leaking oil a lot worse. Any ideas before I take it back to them. They had it for two days as the gearbox wouldn't go back in.

Engine oil? I had a small leak on a Nissan once, and asked them to change the crank rear oil seal while they had it in to do the clutch, came back with a bad oil leak, went back several times before they agreed to do the crank oil seal again, which cured it, that was the Nissan main dealer in Weston super mare.

They also put 4 dents in the cills from a 2 poster lift on another occasion, which they also denied, but later admitted and repaired. Also tried ripping me off for a new gearbox (they removed it from the vehicle) when the new clutch they had fitted broke a spring - they ended up doing the whole job for nothing and throwing in a free service when I took it further. Sorry, not relevant lol.

Can I ask how much you paid for the clutch, I have the same year car, turbo model though.

Drive-shaft oil seal?

Mine started leaking when I had my Rev 3 clutch change. The gearbox and drive-shafts would have to be moved slightly and it started leaking nice new gearbox oil shortly after the clutch change.

Part is Toyota only, about £20, and it took the specialist about 30 minutes to change.

However, part of the rear suspension has to come apart to take the drive-shaft out so need 4-wheel alignment done afterwards.

£300 fitted for the clutch.
