What are these Recaros from

Hi all, looking for a bit of information about the following seats.
I know they are Recaro "Speed" seats, and browsing the net seems to link them to Toyota a lot. Possibly Supra or MR2?

Does anyone know if they were factory option in a car? Or do they just seem to be a common period upgrade? Are they more commonly known as something else? They have a very similar pattern to my M3 interior, and I want some!

I think they're from a Mitsubishi Evo..

The recaro speed was oe fitment in quite a few 90s jap sports cars including the honda integra/civic type r's, celica gt's and mitsubishi evo's to name a few.

They come in a varying colour combinations but usually you can tell what car they were from by the centre trim

All red-type r honda
red/blue fleck as in picture mitsi evo
all black- celica

Genuinely one of the best all round seats ever made imo.

Hmm, so possible not a Toyota! Just to clarify, it's this pattern in particular i'm trying to find out about.
My Beemer has this interior pattern - I think they'd fit right in!!

Early Evos had that seat design but not that pattern I think.

My GT4 came with these seats in it

They look very similar to my Recaro's in my Evo VI, although mine are all black....

Just read that apparently there's a "John Recaro" special edition with this pattern on too. Still no idea what they come from, either way they seem to be rare as hens teeth

And those Brides look awesome.

Nope they are definately celica gt4 seats in the pic.

The Evo 4 seats are the same, but just with a different pattern on the seats, and the Recaro logo is smaller and underneath the gap for the harnesses.

I've currently got Evo 4 seats in my ST205.

Well, found and bought one on ebay that is apparently a "John Recaro Limited Edition"


Just got to find one more to complete the set now!

There is a set on ebay sitting at 250 for the pair, they're from a supra apparently. I want a set for my starlet as the factory seats are rubbish

Yeah, saw those ones. They are a bit rough for me. I think i'll wait out for a bit and hopefully another single seat will come up on the cheaps! Cheers for the link though

These are Evo 4 recaros I had them fitted in my skyline when i bought it , the key thing is that they tip forwards which of course if not required in an Evo
