Morning ladies!

I've just got a white S15 Spec R. Are there any other S15s on here? I've had a look through this section but not seen any mentioned?

It's got Rays Nismo LMGT4 wheels, Apexi exhaust, Apexi filter, Bride driver's seat, front and rear Nismo strut braces and another brace in the boot. HKS turbo timer and a nice Japanese lady that speaks to me when I turn the car on.

Here are the photos:

The only photos I have of it at the moment.

Fortunately for me we have a Japanese supplier at work so we sent them a sound clip biggrin

The lady is kindly letting me know I haven't got a card in the automatic toll reader. lol

I love S15s, don't see them often enough. Such a handsome car.

Gorgeous looking car. Very clean underneath, testament to the Japanese climate and the care from Japanese owners!

I imagine that must have cost you a fortune, as S15's seem to be overpriced compared to similar cars in the first place..

Hmmmm, yeah. It annoys me a fair bit how much more car I would get for my money if I had bought an R33 GTR. The S15 looks so much better though!

Indeed, I was looking at them on ebay a while ago and they were going for about £10,000 a pop, and that wasn't even buying a minter! I had the idea after speaking to a lad in a white one (much tattier than this example) who said he had paid £10,000 for his. You could get a serious amount of Skyline for that. Heck, thats Sierra Cosworth money!

I love these to bits and as said you hardly ever see these!

They do seem quite expensive mind but I suppose they are quite late 1998+?

What are they like to drive/power wise are we talking Subaru/Evo quick or more Integra/Civic Type R ( I know bit of a loose comparison!)

oh and yours looks stunning btw!

250bhp/1240kg stock for the turbo version so WRX quick but a bit below an STi/Evo. Easy to free up more power though, then it can be as quick as your wallet allows.

Nice handling by all accounts (though I haven't driven a 15 myself), well balanced and easy to control on/over the limit.

Love the fact that three of the first four photos are showing off the clean underside - obviously someone has experience with rusty S-bodies smile

They are expensive - you could get a newer 350Z for less. However they're the last and best of the S-body line, with body stiffening, 6-speed box and Torsen diff. They're also around in relatively limited numbers, since unlike S13s and S14s they were never officially imported here. Ultimate in a well-loved series and limited numbers = high prices.

The upside is, if you'd bought one three years ago, you wouldn't have lost much in depreciation. It's not just what you pay for it, it's what you sell it for that determines the true cost of ownership.

It's a lot closer to an Impreza than it is to a Civic/Teg. It's VERY fast. I'm having it on a dyno this Sunday so I will report back with the power figure I get.

Haha I haven't had experience with them before, I was just that impressed with the state of the underside!

If I had bought one three years ago I would have been laughing because of the Yen!! Unfortunately it's not so good at the moment :/

It does handle very well. I haven't really pushed it round corners yet but when I've felt a little brave it is very predictable. You can feel the back end gradually starting to move so you can counter it very well.

Absolutely love these, and have wanted one for years now. Thinking of getting one once i've had a pay rise in a few months.

What are they like to live with cost wise? I can insure one easily enough, but whats it like on fuel?

Fuel wise I seem to be getting about 300 miles to a tank. Not sure on the size of the tank though, maybe 50-55 litres?

It does like to make a visual statement about burning fuel though rofl

So about £60 for 300miles? that's not as bad as i expected tbh!

Thats just tempted me even more haha.

White or Yellow Spec-R aero on work emotion CR kais would be my ideal spec.

I've had a long drive this weekend and I did York to Fleet in half a tank, which is 240 miles. I was very impressed. Seems to work out to around 30mpg smile

I'm getting about that mpg from my SR20DE'd primera. With no work done to it so I thought that was about average. I wonder what's wrong with my engine then?

That's a very playful figure you got. smile
