Hi,

Has anyone fitted a baby seat (for a 3 1/2 year old) in their Nissan GTR? Looking for some advice as there doesnt seem to be a specific seat available through Nissan?

I know the younger seats will fit, say for an 18 month old as a guy turned up to a PH run with his son that was about that age.

At 3 1/2 I would have thought the standard booster seat would be fine as long as the child is the right height and they will fit in almost any car as far as I am aware as they just raise the child’s height and guide the seatbelt over the shoulder correctly instead of across the neck. Below is a link to what I am talking about but my son has been in one of these for 12-18 months now and he is 4 1/2 right now. He is quite tall for his age though.

Hope that helps??

Britax Evolva 123+ works well for me. Back of my XKR was tighter than a GTR i think.

Was pain in the arse finding one for me that would fit for smaller age. At Kiddicare worked through every single seat pretty much typically on a day it was raining.

Either the seat base was to wide or the belt clips angle not correct so they weren't happy it would be sufficient in the event of an impact. Needless to say it was a nightmare but got there in the end.

From memory when we tried older seat it wasn't so much of an issue as you can get away with the booster seats there was a massive range that would of been sufficient to safely fit. My advise would be head down to Kiddicare if one is near and let them fit them in and you can sample which seat your happy with but there was certainly a large range that were suitable in the older seat range.

One of the Recaro range and I think it was the Monza fitted as it was narrow at the bottom on the base. I think the Recaro Start also fitted? that said not certain and it depends on what you want to spend out anyway.
