Any suggestions for road use only?

235/45/17

Currently running Pirelli P-Zero Rosso but they're coming towards the end of their useful life.

Nothing wrong with them, but i'm more than happy to try others.

Yokohama AD08.

Got them on my MR2 Turbo and they're fan-facking-tastic.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics.

Number one, all day every day. They won't be as grippy in the dry as a semi slick "trackday" tyre (which is double the price and lasts half as long), but for a fully treaded road tyre I've not used anything else that came close; The wet grip in particular is unbelievable.

I can only say good things about michelin pilot sport 3, huge grip levels in both wet and dry conditions.

I use these for track wets and they are brilliant. If you are on a budget then Toyo Ti-Rs aren't bad either although they will wear out really quickly.

I had two sets of the Toyos and they were adequate. They feel soft, though - especially when new.

I am on my second set of F1As and they really are worth the extra. Luckily, the standard sizes aren't even regarded as a large tyre any more so they are - relatively - inexpensive.

Totally agree, youve got your answer
Budget = Falken 452
Mid = Toyo T1-R
Premium = Goodyear F1

Toyo T1 Sports are a decent mid range tyre for Evos (got them on my 6). Much improved over the old T1R.

How did you find the pirellis in the wet. I could lose traction in all 4 wheels in the wet in my old evo 8 With p zeros

Average.

Good in the dry.

As you say not brilliant in the wet. OK in the damp but quite poor in anythign more than a slight shower.

Standing water and they seem to aquaplane very very easily.
