MR2 - where to check for water
Discussion
Needless to say we have had a lot of rainfall for the past month+. My MR2 which I haven't had for long, has very good bodywork and seals etc. However, I'm looking for advice on where to check for water deposits, is there a place/s that water will get into that it shouldn't, and just sit there and do its horrible deed?
Grateful for any advice, don't want my MR2 to go bad.
Bloody hate winter. Feel like its been raining since the day I collected it.

Pull out the rear storage bins and check in there.
Mine had a leak from the quarter windows, water would collect in there and run under the seat into the footwell.
After sealing up the windows I had to take out all the carpets/undermatting and dry them off in my house.

IIRC, those thin side strip on the rear arch of the car sometimes have sponge in them to help them fit. (the strip just above the rear vent). I have seen cases of these just holding water after a good wash or heavy rain. Never had an issue on any of my '2s but it did come up on IMOC about a members car rusting from there.
