03' Celica MPG Readout & Trip Navi Button

Hi guys,

Got 2 questions:

1. I have recently bought a 03' Celica which has the Trip Navi button on my CD/Radio console. When I press the button nothing happens? I have checked the manual and does not state anything about it.

Is there a start-up method I am missing?

2. Is there anyway that the mpg can be seen 'electronically' on the dash/radio screen?

There is a turn by turn nav option for that stereo, its crude and very basic. its not as standard, needs another box to make it work.

As said, there was another optional box for the sat-nav which your car does not have. I don't think many people took it as it was naff and pretty crap as i've seen it in the corolla version.

It's just a MPG readout which is probably wrong as well!
