Hi, my wife has a 2011 Mazda 3 MPS. The rear light clusters are allowing water to ingress between the fitting and the seal, this has caused a green algae like substance to grow there which looks a mess. Although the service people at the main dealer claim they've seen this on other vehicles Mazda will not offer a solution or fix and claim that it is not a problem they are aware of.

I can't believe we are the only people who have experienced this, does anybody else have any more info?

Thanks

Dave

Just checked mine after reading your post, and yes, mine has it also.
If I get chance at weekend I'll investigate further.
Does look rather unsightly.

I don't think mine does it? I'd get back to the dealer.

If the dealer doesn't want to fix it for you (not sure of your year and warrnaty status) you can always fix it yourself and it's fairly easy to do if you are reasonably skilled and have access to a heat gun! Fixing it yourself would be a heck of a lot cheaper than buying a new tail light but it would be up to you if you wanted to give it a go.
