If you had £10k to buy one of these 3 cars, which would you choose & why?

All low mileage minters but completely different.

In my position would be used 7 days a week / 18k miles per annum mainly on A & B roads.

Not to be modified or tracked either. Pure road car.

1. Lancer Evo TME http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

2. Skyline R32 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/n...

3. Integra DC5 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/h...

I've owned many Evo's, but always fancied an R32 or a DC5.

Not bothered about the location of them either - I always travel to get the right car.

I would buy the skyline.

I really don't know why.

R32...

If you're living with it 7 days a week. Simple choice.

Same here.
Just want one but no tangible reason why

At that mileage, the TME, not quite money in the bank, but one of more desirable Evos. Reasonable chance of it being worth something when you're ready to sell.

Having just bought one, the R32. However, having done a lot of research prior to buying it, it wouldn't be that R32 from that dealer.

Edit: Actually if your doing 18k miles a year there's going to be a massive difference in the fuel bills for the three cars. I'd be inclined to go DC5 in that case.

I'm a skyline nut so I would go with the 32. Seem to be holding their value well too (although the Evo falls into that category as well).

Hmm interesting - I was watching a superb looking blue one on Pistonheads late last year while I was selling my Evo, but it sold before mine did :-(

This is the first one that's caught my eye since & looks superb.

Most of the cars at that place look immaculate / this is the first bad word i've heard about them?

none of the above If i'm doing 18k a year.

Evo - you'd end up with no fillings in your teeth, all rattled loose.
Skyline probably, but fuel costs will be a bit hideos
DC5 - not a massive fan of VTEC characteristics

I'd go for something more comfy for 18k a year

If you bought that low-mile TME and drove it 18k a year, it's value will plummet - though I like your style mate, any of these cars will cost a bunch in fuel for 18k miles [maybe not the DC5], so thumbs up to you smile

I googled them and there's more than a few people that have had problems.

Personally id buy an STi for 5k, buy a jag s-type for 3k. 2k left for multicar insurance and/or fuel. thats how id do it. then you choose a more luxurious trip or a more performance based trip

IMO all of those are going to be hideous for 18k/yr.

You could get away with a stockish Supra/S15 or something of that ilk, but those are all totally wrong.

Buy a 3k cruiser, spend 4k on an RX7, keep 3k slush fund.

Fancy an Audi A5 3.0TDi Quattro now.

Sorry but that's a predictable way to go. You will be bored of it in 2 months and everyone will think your a plonker just for driving it. For me Audi has an image problem but then I always find German cars boring.

How about a jag ? Or if you want German get a 330d
