I called about this apparently well-priced '04 Red edition yesterday, but was put off by a complete lack of service history and the fact that the guy hardly exuded an air of legitimacy over the 'phone.

Found this thread on the MR2ROC last night - apparently the car is a Cat D write-off. Assuming this is true the seller could of course be unaware, but given the rock-bottom price I suspect he knows and is just attempting to cover it up and get shot quick.

So remember - steer clear of FY04 VGN, or at least go in eyes open and offer him 2/3rds of bugger all for it
