It seems whilst FI has been discussed, electric motor/hybrid option may be more likely... Autocar article.

I've had this car for ages and not once have I thought more power. I love revving this engine now it's worn in and the gearbox is so sweet.

A yank on the wheel, a smile on your face, no more power is needed.

Anything they add to this recipe will ruin it. If I had the space I'd buy a spare one because I just know these damn complainers are going to ruin it for everyone.

Contrary to this guys opinion.

I expect 250-300bhp would make for a much more interesting and more fun car. I`m sure the STi version will be about soon.

Adding power doesn't enhance car that much.. Crappy car is a crappy car in every powerlevel. Like new scirocco..

But the Gt86 is a awesome car and FA20 is an awesome engine. Btw, fa20 will handle boost very well, there is a lot of high hp turbo setups in market. And it will response well n/a modding too. So power isn't a problem if you want it. But i suspect that most of this forum writers can't even handle that 200 hp with nannies off..

But for me, 200hp is enough. Gt86 is truly a astounding car and it did go to the list of my favorite car of all times. It's that good..

I disagree, adding power CAN make a car much more interesting, it gives more options. But it depends on the car. Something rwd, weighing 1250kgs is likely to be more fun with 300bhp than with 200bhp imo.

I know I personally much preferred driving a supercharged Exige S to the less powerful version. Such a difference. And an M3 is much more fun than a 330ci etc etc.

Nope, that's Ebrahim's car.. He's got an interesting collection of kit. We (RV3) have a mutual Tuner.

I test drove a BRZ and hereby do solemnly testiufy that a small, quick spooling turbo giving it more grunt in the midrange would transform it.

In to what?

Faster but with higher running costs. If you are happy to tolerate overall higher costs there are plenty of other options.

while i think a quicker version would certainly be fun, i hope we dont see a 240z - 260z - 280z - 300z bloat in weight and power.
