Yaris Central Locking Problem

My parents have a Toyota Yaris. It is an 07 plate and has the normal key rather than the smart entry system. It will unlock with the remote but it won't lock (it still locks with the key). I've changed the batteries and checked the doors are all closed properly. Does anybody have any ideas?

All sorted now - there was a bit of crap stuck in the boot locking mechanism.
