My Teg Type R is misbehaving a bit lately. She seems to be suffering from fuel starvation. My immediate guess is that the fuel filter is blocked.
Can anyone tell me if the filter is easily accesable, and where on the car it's located.
Cheers,
Simon.

Thinking laterally, it couldn't have something to do with the exhaust could it? (I'm thinking lower backpressure mucking up the fueling) Someone wiser than me will be along soon.

Two questions:-

1) Where are you in the UK?
2) Have you asked the question on either http://forum.hondarevolutions.com or www.itr-dc2.co.uk ? Lot of knowledgable people on both.

As for the first - I know of some Honda specialists and other useful mechanics in various parts of the country...may be able to point you to someone who won't rip you off...

Hi Havoc,
I'm located in South Bucks. Details of local specialists would be well received if you know of any.
I'll check out the other 2 forums as well.

RSV Milly, I hope it's not exhaust related, I need to take the car to Le Mans, and I'm running out of time...........
I assume from your login name, you ride an Aprillia. Awesome machine mate!!

Not aware of any really close by.

If you want a good main dealer, a friend swears by Fish Bros in Swindon.

Alternatively, there's a bunch of oriental guys towards London who seem to spend all their time and money modifying and improving Honda's, they've a 300bhp 'charged CTR and an Elise "Type R" at the mo', as well as an old-shape Civic Type R (rocking horse **** rare but very cool car). Trade under the name B-Factory. What they don't know about TypeR's probably isn't worth knowing.

But start with the forums - sounds like you know your way around an engine bay, so you need diagnosing not necessarily fixing.

Yep. Yellow one in my profile - bug splattered in Houx Annexe.

I'm taking my Suzi to LM this year though since the RSV is a bit unhealthy ATM - low oil pressure.

Try TGM Sport Racing.
They are based in fleet, hampshire.
Speak to Tom.
They specialise in all Hondas especially ATR's, CTR's, ITS DC2 and 5's.

They only Charge 35 quid an hour and are honest and reputable. They set up and run ITR DC5 Track cars as well as modifing anything with a Honda badge on the bonnet.
In fact they are doing my 63k service today.
