Has ceased to be.

This afternoon at about 1:30pm, it blew up!

New car time...

This time around I'm going for something newer (close to 2000 would be nice), and most likely from a dealership .

What will 8k get me? Ideas? I need to move fast or I won't be able to get to work!!!

Oh dear. Do we know why?

Worth dropping a new engine into?

Not yet.

Plumes of smoke and lots of oil all over the place though. It just wasn't getting any power at all, and then it suddenly popped.

Somebody called out the fire service! (Bless 'em).

I'd get a new engine if the body of the car was good enough to warrant it, but it's just not worth the bother.

Plus with a new engine I'd just be losing even more money when it came to selling.

I like the idea of a Saab actually!

There's a good'un on car giant for 7999.

Shame it's a bit of a trek to White City these days.

Very very very glad I bought my tubby - if I hadn't I was going to try to buy yours!

Sad news chap,my sympathies indeed.

How about this: Keep back say,£1k tops & go to your local car auction. There are tons of old ,Saabs,Jags,Beemers,Volvo's etc- big engined highish milers about for a few hundred quid. You'd be shocked at what you can get, half decent cars for peanuts.Excellent fun to be had trashing a bad one(think stock car racing) or fettling a good one.
Spend the rest on your cherished P&J.

So have you found out what's wrong with the old girl?

What are you planning to do? Fix up/sell on or part-x it?
