Rear fog conversion - JDM MOT requirement

Anyone converted a reversing lamp to a fog light? I understand a high intensity led bulb is the way to go, but is it sufficient for the MOT given it will through a clear lens?

Yes, my importer did this and it was fine. Seems to be fairly common in the industry as it's much better than hanging a light on the rear bumper!

Yep, as above, pretty standard

I do all my imports this way. Sometimes Subarus come with rear fogs from Japan

I imported a ITR about 20 years ago and they just cut a hole in the bumper for a light without telling me!
