oh well, 18 months amd 12,000 miles and 1 breakdown

Not bad at all,is a '95 yes? I wouldn't call an alternator a service part exactly but not anything to get worked up about. Putting the new one in yourself? Want a hand chap?

nah hardly a major problem, just a pain that it happened when my car has to go to the bodyshop tommorow
err will be taking my old one off to let a local chap have a look before i purchase a new one (thanks for the offer bud, perhaps a beer @ crimbo?)

Not bad really, cheapish to fix I'd hope!

Considering the rex's alleged fraglity I'm chuffed with only 1 breakdown in the 30 months/20k miles I've owned it - a split hydraulic hose in the clutch system. Had a few other things repaired but nothing that made it undriveable (e.g. split intercooler pipe leaking boooooost).

Yeah, Im chuffed too. Only 36322 breakdowns in 12 months!
