any idea what Mazda this is?
Discussion
Saw this on a Mercedes forum (sorry) stating it was the new MX5 coupe/cabrio... which it obviously isn't.
Could it be an RX8 tintop cabrio?

Looks like a hideous love child of an MX-5 and Mercedes SLK.
Reckon its just a design studio shot of the new MX-5 I imagine they considered copying the metal folding roof at some point.

The front and rear overhangs are too big for an MX-5 though.
overlay it on a current MX5, exactly the same proportions and overhang.
Found this on the net...
"Sources suggest that when the all-new MX-5 arrives in 2006 it will continue with a folding soft-top roof that's been part of the MX-5's lightweight philosophy for its full 15 years on sale. While Mazda insiders claim a hard-top convertible has also been considered, it won't arrive when the car first goes on sale but may be reserved as an option"
