does anyone have to hand specs for a Japanese market Impreza WRX Automatic? - old shape.

Im in Japan, but Im finding it a little hard to get the specs for this car.

Also does anyone have any experience owning/driving this car?

Im looking at cars at the moment, and it has to be automatic, and fit myself, a passenger and 2 dogs.

As far as I was aware, its only available as a wagon if you want automatic...correct me if im wrong

Pretty sure both sedans and wagons were available in auto, but maybe in a lower state of tune than the manual versions. Personally I wouldn't buy an auto though, likely to be very thirsty as well as slower and less fun than the manual equivalent.

www.english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/subaru is good for comparing specs of different models.

nothing i can find there in respect to the JDM Automatic impreza.

unfortunatly a manual is out of the question because:

1. I dont have a manual licence (long story)
2. I have the most annoying commute in the world (bumper to bumper, 10 billion traffic lights)

and of course it will be a JDM, because although Im English, I live in Japan.

Can you able to get classic shaped WRX on the road in Japan? heard their law that car up to 3 years old is allowed to be on road.

I might be wrong.

i checked that site a while back, and apart from the engine power, there isnt too much info on the model im after

craggers:

old cars are not a problem. you need to get an (expensive) road test every 2 years. diesels are being slowly banned prefecture by prefecture (unless you have some badass/expensive filter fitted) but driving an old car is no issue.

try that one, its 1993 specs so maybe a bit older than you want but worth checking. looks like same spec motor as the manual. I'm pretty sure all cars on that site are JDM.
