How keen (or otherwise) are you for the arrival of the much changed (finally) Evo ten?

I'm very interested particularly if they can give it a more luxurious interior - its the main thing that put me off the Evo 8/9

Wouldn't buy a new one though, would wait a year or so.

Do disagree slighty here, compared to the 5 and 6 the evo 8/9 has got a luxurious interior...lol

The main thing is the X stays as a rally car as thats what they are best at....

The evo's are designed to be very uncomprimising as a road legal car, so comfort isn't really high on their list. It all means weight to add those nice little bits that you see as comfortable. If you want comfort, then maybe an RS6 or similar woul;d be a better fit?

Go to www.lancerproject.com and take a look at the Detroit Walkround
video - it starts with the base Lancer but then comes onto the Evo X.

Am I the only one who'd be KEENER on a Lancer if it came with fixed-back seats and no carpets?

Having looked a little deeper, i do like the many, many changes made.

They doubtless will improve what is already a great performance car.

When I have enough cash to splash, i'll definitely have one. The main thing that put me off all the ones since the 6 was that they (imho) ugly and a tad too agressive looking. The new one looks slightly more understated and better proportioned to me, which is great.
