Ok, just a quicky, I'm borrowing an early MX5 for a bit, picked it up in the dark last night. Looking out of the window at the office it's looking a sunny day up here in Cheshire, so I thought I'd go home in an hour or so with the roof down.

What's the procedure, I dont want to a)try and take the roof down and break something or b)try to take the roof down, fail, look a knob infront of everyone!

Is it something like:
Unzip rear screen
Unlock latches above front screen
Fold back
Remove sun visors (optional)

Or are there any buttons/bits of velcro that need undoing first?

Regards
Iain

Hehe - I can sympathise having looked after a mk3 MX5 for a bit and not being able to find the hood release - or was it the filler cap release? Whatever it was I seem to remember it turned out to be hidden in a compartment between the seats... wobble

When I had an MX5 I was advised to release the roof catches, before undoing the zip. To reduce tension in the zip.

I had a new hood on mine in july last year and they do recommend undoing the clasp to release tension in the zip!!! Hope you enjoy driving round for a short time. Hope the weather is good for you.....

Dunno about the LS engined car, but www.monstermiata.com is where you'll find the ford SB powered fun machine!
