..thinking a GT4?

or a FC (know of any Charlie?)?

or a N/A MR2?

in mind to replace the Rover, and become an occasional Track car.
pref not FWD

I wouldn't but a GT4 for £1k, although its been a while since i looked at them, they may have fallen in price even more yikes

E30 BM gets my vote, as does an S13.

MX5 Mk1 or MK1 MR2 both low powered and light and make a good fun track day tool!
cheap as chips too if you do all the service bits yourself!

Actually thinking about it I wouldn't got near a GT4 for a grand either. I had a S13 200sx before the GT4 and that was a good laugh, pretty quick and very very tail happy. Was actually very reliable as well, I had mine for 3 years and it never let me down.

I should be picking mine up on Saturday from Newbury with it's shiny rebuilt whirry-thing.

Only 1500 miles until I can put my foot down in it...

S13 for 1k is a 50/50 chance on being decent or a pile of rotten scrap.

personally i'd go for an AW11 or an E30.

outside the box: Saab 9000 turbo. loads of em about, parts are cheap from older ones being parted out, surprisingly good to drive and more power than anything else for that money.
