Well as discussed previously, I wanted another big bhp Jap car to replace my Skyline, but having to pay for a wedding at Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle has stopped that. So I'm picking this up on Friday, it's an STi on an 04 plate, and is getting the Prodrive Performance Pack fitted next week as they have had a delay in getting some parts for it, but I thought I would pick it up any way and then return it, to get the kit fitted and pick up the certificate for it.

Pleased with it and can't wait until the kit is on. The graphics will be coming off.

Good stuff! Should be fun

Best shape they've come in too. Much in the way of mods planned?

Fancy a bigger turbo and fuel pump, boost controller, re-map and a decat.

Will be sticking to standard internals for a while, so won't be going over 450bhp.

Have seen some good stuff at Scoobyclinc, and fancy spending another few grand on it once the PPP is fitted.

Are you sure you wanted PHers at your wedding?

Congrats on new acquisition, I hope she gives you smiles - and I hope you got mats

Good to know i'm not the only one driving jap stuff in the north east section! Incidentally I recall seeing your skyline in shields a fair old while back now. Looked good in the flesh

It was hard to miss my Skyline. Got to much attention some times though. I was a bit gutted about selling it but I'm happy with this purchase and will feel a bit happier using it as a daily driver.

Why are you getting the PPP ?

A Pat map at the clinic is a far better bet

Getting some work done included in the deal for the car so no initial spend.

Very nice indeed.

The only UK cars with DCCD are the WR1s and the 2.5l STi as far as I know. The DCCDs make quite a difference to how the car behaves.

The manual warns that you should not alter the setting of the DCCD whilst one of the wheels is off the ground.... yikes they obviously know the type of person who drives an Impreza!

It was an option on the Sti 8 . I've just done an 05 car with it.

Quick update.

Had the car for 1 week tomorrow.

Good drive and have enjoyed it but it needs more power.

Don't think the PPP kit will help that much when it's fitted. The car feels like it can cope with a lot more.

I think some upgrades will be happening in the next few months.

Like I have said above, I reckon remap, bigger turbo, boost controler and fuel pump will be a good start.

I've just got back from TSL after they did some work on my car today and they have a cracking workshop there. Almost clincal. Really seem to know their stuff too and the place was packed full of full on Scoobys, both road and race. They aren't cheap....but worth the extra and very professional. Excellent bunch of people too. I shall be visiting them again sometime soon to part with some more spondoolics. Highly recommended!!
