If your decide on an Evo the MLR forum has shed loads for sale, many are quite delightful and prices seem quite good, you may want to check it out before you part with your wedge.

Any reason you want 4WD as a fun car?? In my experience they're not that fun on the road, as to get the most out of them you have to drive like a hooligan, which isn't a good idea when there's the potential of on coming traffic.

If you are purely after a weekend toy with occaisonal trackdays etc, then I'd say an Elise would be a good bet, just get a good one yes

Or how about an E30 BMW M3. Hell of a drivers car, with a fair amount of change from your budget.

But if I had £14k to spend on a silly weekend/fun car, it'd be an RX7 everytime. Get a good late spec one for around £9-£10k, and leave a few £kk spare to "personalise" it

RX-7. You will get something truly wonderful for that money.

I just paid £11600 for this:
