I reckon at your age it won't be cheap to insure. I don't know what ins group your current hack is but the Scooby WRX will be Grp 19 and the STi probably 20. There's not a lot in it really but either way for a 24yr old, even with a clean licence and full no claims it still won't be cheap. Figure on anything from £1000+. Maybe £1500 - £1800

Plenty of places to pick up a WRX at anything from £13995. I bought mine from a car supermarket in Hull (all brands new) March 2006 and paid £16,300otr which was a bargain at the time never mind at todays prices.
The car will be a Euro import and wont have an alarm, locking wheel nuts or side air bags. If it has any of these the seller has added them on and has probably added the cost to the screen price. Other than that the car is identical to the UK car and classed as a UK car for insurance.
As said though, insurance could be high at your age, there are a couple of insurance threads on here with some companies you can try. All in all its a great deal and you cant get more new car for your money
