paddle clutch in a 200sx - heavy as feck, price to change?
Discussion
The wife and I have just been for a test drive in a S14 200sx. The wife fell in love with it about 30 seconds after it was fired up, and on the test drive while the current owner was driving had a grin like a cheshire cat.
Right up till it was our turn for a test.
The chap has fitted a 6 lever paddle clutch, and frankly it's really not very friendly. If it was for me alone it wouldn't be too bad, but it's way, way to heavy for the wife to use in the daily start/stop traffic commute into town.
So... is the heavy factor normal for a 6 paddle clutch, and if not what could be the cause, and secondly, anyone know the rough price of getting the clutch swapped back to standard on an S14? Need to let the bloke know one way or the other asap as I hate messing sellers around!

Paddle clutches are quite hard normally. To change the clutch back will the same price as a clutch change...Mr Clutch in Wimbledon did mine for £160 which is quite reasonable i think...But now i have a friendly mechanic near me that does it for £80. The best compromise is to get an uprated organic clutch.
