Nissan Micra dip module
Discussion
Hi people,
Maybe I shouldn't be asking this, since it's for the car that my daughter put a dent in my hot rod with, but here goes...
Anyone know where the dip module is located on a '93 Micra.?
I've got main and dip on the offside light but only main on the nearside one.
The last fuse is showing a strong 12 volts, but the wire going to the dip side of the headlamp is only showng 5-7 Volts.
The manual says that the wire goes from the last fuse into the dip module, but can I find anything on the car with enough wires going into it?...
Not a chance....
Where is the damn thing located?
Cheers

You have obviously checked the bulb, it could be the light stalk.

In the end I just jumped the O/S light dip over to the N/S light.Ed
Truly stupid design, the power runs through the light switch and down to the fuse box, then out to the the O/S light (Ok, so far... the O/S light dips off the switch) but, the power for the N/S dip, then runs back up the car and under the dash to a box (The infamous dip module) which is located under the steering column shroud. Then it runs back down again and out to the light.
The net result is that you have large amounts of excess wiring and two lights that operate independently of each other...
Unbelievably daft...
