De-restrict R-34 GTT Skyline but keep KMPH ?

Does anyone know how to de-restrict a '98 R-34 GTT but keep the speedo reading KMPH?

Ideally I'd prefer not to lose any other functions (HICAS etc) along the way.

Anyone I've contacted all say fit the MPH conversion but I don't want to go this route.

Surely there must be a jack-plug I can disconnect or something simple like that.

They have kmph speed limits and signs just like here.

There are de-limiters and convertors.

The kmph -> mph convertors don't actually de-limit the car, they just divide the speed by 1.6 meaning the limiter is moved to 180mph from 180kmph.

HKS do a simple 4 wire de-limiter (SLD), and the Apexi RSM will do the same (and give you some funky dials).

I think the HKS one does and I know the APEXi does (as they are used in Japan).

Apexi RSM is a cool gadget, and will do exactly what you're after. I've had one and liked it, doddle to setup and install, and works a treat.

If you go on www.gtr.co.uk forums, there's a guy not far from me selling one for a very nice price (120 quid if memory serves) in the for sale section. comes with the G-sensors too for added features.

The RSM is a great bit of kit, with the G-sensors (if you know the weight) it'll work out your BHP and quater miles (obviously values are to be taken with a pinch of salt).

I've had several different versions, all of them de-limit without effecting the kmph / mph.

The Thor one is not available at the moment from the but they have an alternative.

I'll have to get onto this job soon.
