Having just bought a 2.5 Turbo XTE Forester '55' plate, I was wondering whether it was worthwhile getting the 'Prodrive, performance upgrade. The quoted figures look quite promising, but then they always do!!

Can anyone gove me some feedback on this, please????

Assured that it does not affect the warranty as it's 'Prodrive' developed. It is in the options section on the Subaru web site, so they must endorse it.

Sorry, i meant does the car still in Warranty, The PPP does indeed not invalidate the warranty, so if the car still has its factory warranty, a PPP is the only way to go

I had the Prodrive Performance Pack fitted to my MY05 WRX ..... I loved it - not too extreme, it kept my warranty and generally made the car much nicer; much like I thought it should have been to begin with. Expensive, yes but I would do it again if I bought a Subaru.

many thanks, I will be getting it sorted on my return from Le Mans.

The only problem is the 'Missus' idea Perhaps I will get the builder whose doing our extension to overcharge me by the requisite amount when I next give him some money.

I had a PPP fitted to my STi. I drove it for a little while at the standard 277bhp and the PPP did make a difference (up to 316bhp, if you believe them). It's not the best upgrade but if you want to maintain your warranty then its the best way forward.

Tell your wife that the Subaru X miles service is very expensive. Tell her the overhead reverse cam sprocket adaptor needs to be re-amulgulated at X miles, hence the price. biggrin
