MY99 Imperza's may have a thirst...

but in the 30k miles I have owned it I have done nothing but service it routinely, buy a new MAF sensor, put 2 front dics and pads on, and a couple of tyres. IMO for the performance you get this is cheap motoring!
Sorry had to share, I went to pick the car up from it's service last night and I think the service manager was getting annoyed with me:
'Are you sure there was nothing wrong or that needed replacing?' 'No'
'What about bushes?' 'Well a couple of rear ones may need doing in your next service, I can replace them now if you wish?!' etc etc
he then started giving me a look 'will you just leave, there is nothing wrong with your car and I have other things to do!'

Mine has been similar.
Normal routine service stuff, and consumables ( battery, tyres & brakes )
Had an odd one recently though. I noticed one of the number plate lights was not on. Well, on investigation, it was on, just dangling by the wire and no where near the number plate. The bar going across the top of the rear bumper ( internaly ) has completely corroded away, as have the number plate hangers that, err, hang off it! Buying the required parts cost an arm & leg ( not to mention quite a few attempts to get the correct ones ). Not looking forward to fitting them, but this could be a project for this next weekend.....

not had that one yet but the quality of bodywork and paint do leave a little to be desired, the lacquer has now started peeling off the scoop and the two air intakes...not too worried about it as they are plastic but does not look very nice Normal routine service stuff, and consumables ( battery, tyres & brakes )

I have no complaints about the painting on the metal work, but the paint on my MY2000's front bumper is awful. I had always assumed that it was a dodgy respray, until I closely inspected the front end of a few other MY99/MY2000 cars and saw that they all had cracked and peeling paint on the front bumper.andynormancx said:

).It's stood up to this female abuse quite well, but I did need to use a dent-away company once for the wing ( and boy did 'Dentz' do a superb job http://www.paintless-dent-removal.co.uk/home.htm ).
My front end paintwork is not perfect, due to parking rash from Mrs Big Dunc, then a ( main dealer, but with hindsight, low quality ) respray, then more parking from Mrs Big Dunc.........
Spent yesterday afternoon doing the rear bumper & number plate lights, not as bad a job as I feared ( didn't manage to break all the plastic clips! )
DnB. Thanks, but too late. Interestingly enough, I have nearly contacted you several times, as I am mid Griff project which is similar to the one you are in the final stages of.
