Need some help on getting a tracker fitted. Need one of the proactive kind, like a tracker monitor. So, any experience of the options ? Other products that do the same thing as tracker monitor ? Much variance in initial cost and subscriptions ? Tracker monitor is £470 inc first year - is there anyway of getting the same thing for less cost ?

Also, do these companies come to your place to fit them, or do you have to take them somewhere ?

Any advice / experiences welcomed.

There's and article in this weeks Auto Express on trackers, comparing rates and cover if that's any help?

Tracker will come to you and fit them.
It can be a bit awkward getting a weekend appointment though.
As I have ( touch wood ) not had a car stolen, I cannot comment on effectiveness. I believe that you can buy similar products from different companies for less money. I have no idea on the quality or effectiveness etc

Get yourself onto the Scoobynet forum and take a look.

You should be able to look through various posts over the last few years regarding comments/experience with trackers.
Some of them are not very good (we can't name and shame here).
You have suggested a good company that many people happily use.

make sure you get one with both a GPS and a RF signal, they are a b4stard for the thieves to stop the signal!
