Any Corolla owners help me out here please?

My grandad has this old '93 Corolla, its a shed but a good second car, i've just spent 2 hours fixing various niggly faults with it but one has got me stumped.
The battery died on it about 6 months ago, when he jumped it the alarm went off, then whenever he was driving it the alarm was going off.....imagine the picture
Any way he takes it to a garage who justdisconnected the earth, now the little red LED is on constantly, i had a look it looks aftermarket to me as it has a wire coming from battery positive with fuse on it, (dont know why he didn't just pull the fuse) Any one know how to cancel these alarms when going off or reset it so it doesn't think its being nicked.
Theres no button key fob it works off central locking, i know on my car you put the key in ignition turn it on and off to cancel alarm but this doesn't work on this car.
Any help massively appreciated.
