Thanks... you'd imagine that thread would pop up in a search for "impreza oil" but no... although it's early and I could have missed it 10W40 (I too have a bad memory and I posted on that thread!)

I prefer to use 10W60 takes care of the engine when on a mental hoon!
STeve
Up until recently the subaru specced 5W30. My dealer told me that as of this year they are now telling the dealers to use 10W40. A good compromise is Redline 10W30 and very good down to some pretty cold external temps, gives same viscosity as 10W40 at normal temps and doesn't get too thin when engine temps start soaring. Good Stuff

eh? for a MY99? Are you sure you don't want to change your mind on that?

It would be a 10W40 as standard for a 99 Turbo, but the upgrade oil for that would be e.g. Millers 10W50. Newage Imprezas 2001 on used 5W30, but they now recommend 10W40 although i would use Redline 10W30.

Is that better miss

less of your cheek young man
I still want those wheels off your sportwagon

(thanks to the superb depth of colour and deep lacquer applied during the refurb by WickedWheels)
ScoobieWRX will probably have said:

erm a friend and I had 4 sets done between us, (but 2 sets were done together, then a few months later the other 2 sets)
including tyres off/on/balanced
16" were 40 GBP, 17" (two sets) and 18" (IIRC) were 45 GBP
this was us delivering the wheels on a monday, and picking them up on a friday, cash paid.
I cannot stress how meticulously they performed their work; on one of my sets they were 'not happy' with one of the wheels, and it was 're-acided' after they had painted it. On one of my friends 850R 7-spokes (which were in an awful state) was repainted twice.
I only have close-ups of the 16"s - note the photo was taken in the kitchen where there were 6 spotlights causing reflections on the rim edge.
If any kind of light falls on these superbly painted/lacquered wheels, they light up in an almost supernatural way.....
