I think if you buy a R34 GTS in japan they are far cheeper than the GTR's, and still have 1 turbo as apposed to the 2 on the GTR. I don't think there is much difference in performance

I may be wrong but I think there is a big difference between the GTS and GTR

isnt the gts rear wheel drive only? instead of 4WD of teh GTR also teh GTR has all the gismos and gadgets

I think the GTS is 4-wheel drive, the only difference is that it has one turbo and a slightly different bodykit and wheels.

Try this website www.prospec-ms.co.uk this is an import site mainly for skyline's. The MD is Shin Inoue, an adviser to The GTR Owners Club UK (GTROC UK)and a representative of The GTR Owners Club (GTROC JP). He is well regarded in the Skyline Community. Also try www.gtr.co.uk Which is the Skyline GTR Register, the website of GTROC UK. The forums here should be able to help.

michaels, the gts is rear wheel drive, and has a 2.5L single turbo engine. The gtr has attessa 4wd, and a 2.6L twin turbo. There is a big difference in performance. The body panels are also totally different. To transform the gts into a gtr body, you need to replace most of the panels on the car- expensive.

You don't need a V-spec, as any normal gtr can be modded. You could simply get a gts and mod it to hell (you'll get a very fast car for much less than the cost of the gtr). Still, if you can afford the r34 v-spec, cost probally isn't an issue.

Just got an R34 Vspec. BIG difference to the GTS, you can't mod the GTS to anywhere near the level of the GTR.

As mentioned try the GTR forum, there may be some known cars foe sale. Prospec is a good bet, they only deal in nice examples (so I am told).

For servicing/modding Abbey Motorsport are the main ones but GTArt also come highly recommended.

Great cars, especially in the wet. A real eye opener next to my cerbie.
