Anyone know any good Nissan dealers in the South East?

I'm interested in a 350Z and had a few problems with getting a test drive. frown

Just phoned the local dealer who said he didn't have any for demo! Instead of trying to find one he told me to try another dealer - WTF! He must be selling so many cars he can afford to turn business away but with no demo models available I can't believe he is. mad

Anyway, it didn't get much better, the second nearest dealer did have a roadster but no coupe, not even 2nd hand. He then proceeded to try and convince me (is that another word for lie? furious )that Nissan were holding 350Z's back so as not to "flood the market". As he clearly wasn't offering to find me a coupe, I mentioned how easy it had been to organise a Cayman for a 24hr test drive, they even bring it to the house - His response was to claim he'd never heard of a Cayman "is it the replacement for the 911" DOH!!! biggrin

You DID call on a Sunday, I'd be less than helpful if I had to work sundays.

All the garages round here have testers. I know because I keep taking an 07 out to compare it to my 06 hehe

Must be tongue in cheek?

If a business is open on a Sunday they're open for business and the people who work there should treat it as any other day - you can't have a company saying we're open on a Sunday but please don't ask us for anything cos I really don't want to be here.

Mines 06 plated but the original VQ35DE 280bhp engine (non revup model). The new HR engine has noticeably more torque from low down (which isn't really needed) but the midrange punch feels about the same as mine. It's lovely how it keeps reving but because they've geared it differently (you can now hit 73 in second compared to 61) it doesn't actually FEEL any faster.

I was all up for an upgrade as mine rattles and squeaks annoyingly but I couldn't justify it without the performance I was expecting.

Got a test drive today and really impressed, plenty of go, nice ride, great noise, even liked the interior and lots of kit as standard - to spec a Cayman to the same level as a 350z with the GT pack means adding nearly 10k's worth of extras!! so that's a real world difference of 25k. Off to try one on Monday, it'll need to be pretty special to be worth 25K more.

I tested a Cayman on the way to the 350z. The inside is another league but the chassis feels crippled without the LSD and I was left underwealmed. The nicer car for sure, far more refined and the better ride. Not worth 25k more.

Also it probably didn't help a borrowed a 997 to get the the Cayman test drive!

When I went to test drive one on a Sunday I did notice I got treated fairly crap tbh. When I went on a weekday was treated brilliantly. Guess who got the sale!

I've had my roadster 07 for nearly 4 weeks. Hardly used the stereo - love the engine smile

Slightly thirstier than I expected but I do a lot of stop/start towny driving in the week (17mpg). It was low 20's for my 1st 100 mile A/B road round trip.
