Has anyone owned the both the Subaru Spec C and the Mitsubishi FQ-340 MR? If so, which did you prefer and why?

It was obvious that it was the wrong type of tarmac for the evo and the sun was in the MR drivers eyes, plus he had to put up with having two scoobys and a honda holding him up the whole way round...... winkbiggrin

Great vid, im sure i have driven that track on GT4.

As for the Evo V Scooby, well i have only driven the 07 Sti and not the spec-c and i have driven the EVO 9 FQ MR 360.

The Evo was great, but it just didnt have the same appeal as the Sti, there was something about the Sti that i liked better. The evo just felt a little too simple to drive, if that makes sence, it just lacked something for me.

Im not just saying this because i own an Impreza, i wont give a car loyalty just because i own one.

Truth is they are both great cars with very little between them.wink

I agree with you, which is why I chose an Impreza over an Evo VII/VIII. Theres something a bit more special about the Scooby. I prefer the sound and looks, but the Evo is an incredible car for brutal point to point driving. Living with an Impreza everyday is a lot easier than with an Evo so Im told.
The Spec C Imprezas are very different from a standard STI and Ive never driven one so Im not too sure how it would compare to an FQ340, but I think they would both be evenly matched in terms of speed and handling.

I think the question th OP posted was have you owned both, which I am pretty sure you haven't so should not really comment IMO.
This age old argument of which is better or my brand can beat yours is a wee bit boring I am sure if I searched I would find a video of a scoob losing to an Evo but whats the point.
A spec c would be better suited against an Evo rs not an FQ we all love our own choice of cars but to slate the rival brand is a bit childish
One of my mates has had 3 Subarus and at least 6 Evo's and currently drives a IX GT he won't hear a bad word about either so really there is very little difference apart from the awesome noise from the more common of the two.
The only way to make your mind up is to drive both and pick which one suits you best not listen to some of the crap you hear getting posted on here

I dont think anyone was slagging off either car, just posting opinions on cars they have tested. At the time i tested the Evo and Sti i owned an MR2 so my opinion on how the cars felt is un-biased. If people didnt add the odd opinion to posts from time to time there would often be nothing to read, how many people have really owned the 2 cars in the vid!?!

As already said, i think both cars are great and you cant get more for your money in terms of performance.

What? I dont own either...

Watch a few of them and see the NSX beat pretty much everything, even far faster cars.

A more realistic comparison between the two brands, just goes to show that there really is very little in it!!
