Hi I am selling my 4.2 V8 A6, averaging 22.2 MPG
I used to run an old shape turbo but can not remember what MPG I achieved.

What can I expect from the various models of Imprezas out there, budget 12K.

Thanks in advance.

About the same as your Audi (assuming a mix of motorway and country roads and moderately sensible driving smile ).

What he said. Maybe into the mid 20's if you're gentle/ do a lot of motorway driving.

Yep about the same MPG as the Audi. I'm averaging 21mpg with town and A road driving (little or no motorway). If you spend a lot of time on boost you'll be looking at low teens though.

I get anything from 18-24 for a typicla week of town and A road driving i have had it down to 8mpg for a sunday afternoon drive.

For £12k you should be able to pick up a 04 Plate Newage STi. with full history etc

My old UK spec gave 24 mpg on A roads & round town, and 29 on the motorway. My type RA only returns 22 and 26 respectively.

Thanks for all the info, I really would like to get back to Subaru ownership but I'm sure it would end in a world of pain from Mrs Jem.
I am now considering a 2.4 Vtec Honda maybe a better solution to the MPG blues with out going down the oil route.
