Headlamp Bulb on Celica

[I want an Elise!]

Right then folks - my neighbour has a new shape Celica (Gen 7?), and is trying to change the headlamp bulb.

We've got the new bulb in, but the spring clip doesn't seem to be retaining it correctly, which in turn, seems to be causing some rather interesting lighting effects

The old bulb was actually stuck in place having been fitted incorrectly, and I was wondering if this could have caused the clip to warp somehow ?

Any help greatly appreciated !!

I am not kidding - take it to Mr T (Toyota) - myself and my skinny mechanic chum tried changing mine once and no lie it took over 30 mins and even then the angle wasn't right. Looked like I was signalling for Batman.....

Someone must know the trick, but it is impossible if you haven't done it before. The Alfa is also designed for slender handed people...
