Hi all wondering if anyone has had a similar noise i have an 04 wrx wagon. Always between 65 and 70 mph i have a noise it sound like wind getting through a small gap and making a slight whistling, whining noise.

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and knew what it was?

Thanks

windscreen wiper(s) been replaced?

If this is the cause, use this as an excuse to get some PIAA silicone wipers, with a 'spoiler' on the drivers side (I assume).

You'll wonder how you could ever see properly in the rain before fitting them.

I don't know the wagon, but if the widows are frameless it is often these whistling - try dropping the fronts a cm or so and then putting them back up. Often cures the problem.

I only get wind noise in my 02 WRX Sportwagon when doing over 115/120 leptons, on a track or private road of course. And it usually manifests itself as a loud humm, almost like it's trying to sing me a song, or when doing qround 110 leptons and you hit a strong headwind. Get the wind behind you and you won't hear it till about 135/140 leptons biggrin

P.S. All because of the frameless windows thumbup
